Our Shows

We have performed thousands of shows in our 20-year history.  Our clients include Newcastle Knights (Chris has been Sir Rusty since March 1994), NBN Television, Fox Studios, Western Suburbs Leagues Club, to name but a few.  We also have a regular corporate function and Christmas show client base, and as far as private functions go, we have performed at many weddings, milestone birthdays, christenings and of course, we are children's party specialists! 

We perform a range of characters. The following are a sample of the most popular characters we perform. Characters can be created for just about any event or theme!
WILLIAM DOODROP WORLD’S GREATEST JUGGLER  is one of Chris’s more popular characters.  He performs juggling with balls, clubs, cricket bats fire torches and machetes. He does hat tricks, performs magic, rides and juggles on his 6’ unicycle and interacts with the audience to create a fun atmosphere. He can also tie balloon animals which is incredibly popular with young and old alike.
BUBBLES THE CLOWN is one of my favourite characters. She is Mr. Doodrop’s side-kick and torments him no end!  Chris and I work together  to compliment each others performances with slap-stick, partner juggling and adding mood music via the saxophone throughout the show where appropriate and work off-the-cuff very effectively together.  We can read each others mind like a book and I usually know what Mr. Doodrop is going to say before he does- sometimes I even say it for him! I can also make balloon sculptures and face paint. FAIRYWINKLE Is every child’s dream come true! She has very long wavy waist length hair, beautiful blue mauve velvet and crystal organza dress with 8 colourful petticoats.  She is adorned with a halo of flowers, petals and flower trails. She has glittering fairy make-up and purple glittering shoes…and gossamer wings, of course!  Fairywinkle is very enchanting and can make magic happen.  She has an array of magic tricks, which call for some help form the little fairies in the audience.  She has a magical fairy ring that can only be entered after chanting some special words. She will also read a fairy story or two and gild the children with fairy dust. Fairywinkle will transform the children’s faces with paint and then give them a sweet heart-shaped balloon or a sculpture of their choice.  These include a flower, puppy, mouse, bird and the like. During this time the children will continue to be captivated with cascades of bubbles from her ‘bubble machine’.
ARFUR THE JUGGLER is one of Chris’s more zany characters. He performs in true commedia tradition using his juggling and improvisational skills to the full. He is dressed in full court jester regalia and works tremendously well as an ice-breaker or later in the evening to spur the celebrations on! He juggles with balls, clubs, fire torches (venue permitting), cricket bats and machetes. He juggles and rides his high unicycle at the same time and really gets to know the audience by involving them at every opportunity. He has a keen sense of comedy and wit so hecklers are a delight to him. He can also incorporate various details about the celebrators. Whether it be some embarrassing moments from their past or just some idiosyncrasy of their personality that their friends and relatives will recognise. This is not an integral requirement for a successful performance but it can be of great comic value when performing at a private or corporate function where the audience knows each other.

TUPPENCE is Arfur's female couterpart. She is also costumed in a bright red and yellow matching court jester outfit and has massive bosoms built in! We perform partner juggling and magic with an abundance of verbal jousts between the unsuspecting spectators and us. Music can be added. Works well with oodles of colour and movement.
ADULTS ONLY!!
FAT ELVIS is another enormously popular character. He can rove through the crowd serenading on saxophone or guitar in his pure white and heavily bejewelled jumpsuit. He also dons authentic-looking Elvis glasses and hair do!
Plenty of humour comes off-the-cuff at the same time as he uses his circus and magic skills as a vehicle for his comedy. He is truly loved by Novocastrians and beyond. He can be just a little naughty without using offensive language but he can read the audience like a book and adjusts the risque comedy bits to suit! If you need him for a family-oriented function he can easily leave out the naughty bits and still have a pile of fun.

PRISCILLA is HUGE! It is the only way to describe her. Everything about her is big! Big giraffe eyelashes that can cool off any audience with a flutter! Big pert bosoms boast the question - Are they or aren't they real? Add to this a big sound on the saxophone from an otherwise petite little thing in my glittering sequined gown. I can partner Fat Elvis in all aspects of the show and can include the famous Zigzag Lady magic illusion by request.
THE DRUNKEN SANTA has to be seen to be believed! It is very much as ADULTS ONLY performance. If you're having Christmas in December or July the Drunken Santa will add that extra bit of madness to the season.
He is dressed in the traditional bright red Santa suit with white trim boots and all! He also wears an authentic looking white beard an hair, bulbous nose and spectacles. Oh, and yes, he also sports a large phallus. There may be innuendo but no swearing. Chris can read audiences very well. He will know just how far to go without being offensive. On the other hand, if you want the show a bit more naughty, he can accommodate this as well.

Big Fat Band BIG FAT BAND and other music
The BIG FAT BAND is our very own backing band featuring FAT ELIVS as the front man. This is our most popular theme used for Las Vegas or 70's theme nights or where there is no theme at all!
The band members are not only musicians but are actually performers as well. We are all multi-skilled and the members have remained constant for many years now. We have known and worked with each other since the early 1980s, which makes for masses of improvisation and on-the-spot gags.
The whole band is dressed in theme to compliment each other, and our repertoire ranges from easy listening dinner music through to blues, rock and roll and even a sprinkling of comedy originals.

MORE MUSIC You can even combine a floor show with a night of music. Chris has his own Blues Band. As well, he has a duo, trio, foursome or moresome depending on the size and type of your function. The repertoire consists of a wide range of styles including blues, rock and roll, middle-of-the-road and even some oldies but goodies!
